July : More hair, Dogs, Babies and a Samurai

Heyy! So while I'm working on UK Pt2:Manchester, I thought I'd make a small update for the past week or so.

Sooo, I got my hair cut again. The layers were bugging me way too much. Just didn't like how they looked, because I prefer that 'full' kind of look, I guess you could say. And this time I got my sister to do it! She has previously cut my fringe for me and even gave me a trim, and I trust her with my hair wholly. Plus, I won't hesitate to tell her what exactly I want and what to do.

That's it, I'm not going to any hair salon in Kuching anymore. My sister is now my go-to hairdresser. I repay her in bubble milk tea OR Shihlin XL fried chicken :D

Before

After the first cut

Basically, I'll lay like 4 sheets of newspaper on the floor to catch the hair and place a stool on top of them. Usually I'd put a towel around my shoulders but I was too lazy to get one from upstairs :P I told her to chop everything off after the shortest layer, making my hair another 4 inches shorter.

Goodbye ugly layers

After!
So yeah! Back to shoulder length hair! I was messing around with the curling iron in the photo above though, drawing inspiration from youtuber Jenn Im of clothesencounters (Total girlcrush btw). I'm totally lovin' it because it's different from anything I've done with my hair before. Took me a few days to decide to get my hair chopped, but personally, I've never felt any emotional attachment to my hair like some people do. After all, it's an accessory that'll grow back, right?

Guess who else got a cut! My dog, Morris. The past month or so has been freaking hot and humid in Kuching! A few minutes outside will result in sweat, it's ridiculous. Because of this, my garden became a breeding ground for fleas!!! Ugh, nasty devil spawn. We bought the flea repellant to apply to the dogs' collars but it hasn't really worked. And Morris (a silky terrier, by the way) has really fine, long hair which tends to tangle, making it hard to remove the fleas. So one morning, I was leaving the house and the first thing I saw was my brother trimming off ALL his hair -___- My sister took over for the hair around his face

He was a fuzzy lumpkin like this

And here is his After photo

Rusty (a Boxer) was bugging the haircut so I had to distract her

Tried to feed her an orange slice.
My boxer, Rusty, is loooooove. Anyone who has been to my house will tell you that she's damn fierce and barks like hell, but she's a huuuuge softie around us. She even lets Morris steal her toys right from under her nose and eat her food, when she can easily bitchslap him with one swipe. And she's the most intelligent dog I've ever owned too. If I'm not mistaken, she turned 6 this year. Gosh, I'm gonna miss this one so much. She's looking kinda tubby lately because I've been too lazy to take her for walks, on account of the horrible weather :( But her legs are still pure muscle, them Boxer genes.

A wild ChikSheng appears! While I talk to him almost everyday, it was SOOO fun to Skype this assho the other day.

He just became an uncle to a pair of twins, Faith and Hope. How adorable is that? BABIESSSS!

Apparently this job includes warning me of the partial nudity in Orange is the New Black

Switching gears, I've started packing to go over to the UK for my studies so my mom took out some of her old clothes and stuff to pass down to me! I absolutely LOOOOOVE it when she does because I've inherited so many treasures that are older than me. I have her real leather Ralph Lauren crossbody sling bag, black Gucci watch and a leather Charles Jourdan backpack - all of which I love to death and use all the time. Some of her clothes are so timeless, they still can look damn good today so of course I stole them. Probably won't be wearing them til I'm overseas..because, well, who dresses up in Kuching? 95% of the time, I'm wearing t-shirts and shorts and flipflops out. Sometimes not even denim shorts. You can dress super lapchek like this to even to the most upscale mall in town (by Kuching standards) and nobody would bat an eye. Mhmm! This is Kuching, where most people just dress like this most of the time. Ideal for lazy people like yours truly.

Anyway, my mom took out her old black palazzo pants which my sister tried on straight away. Out of nowhere she went to find this foam sword that squirts water and started slashing it around like a samurai. So I got her to don this black baggy cardigan and tuck it in, and upknot her hair...Photoshoot time! Not missing a beat, my brother Googled samurai stances and positioned her.

Sooo bo liao, I know but twas the most hilarious thing everrrrr

Epic photoshop her friend did

I almost died laughing from this ^
